Bye Bye Binky

Binky Bye Bye

Chorus:

Bye bye binky
Bye bye binky
Bye bye binky
Binky BYE BYE BYE

I woke up in the morning
And I drove myself to school
I honked my horn
Just for fun
And you know I sure felt cool

But something looked a little strange
A'hangin from my lip
It was blue and I sucked it too
But I'm too old for it

(CHORUS)

After lunch I had my tea
The French kid gave a sigh
He says at our age overseas
They usually have wine

He's traveled all around the world
Met kids from every place
But I'm the only one he's met
With a binky on his face

(CHORUS)

Driving home that winter night
I heard a siren wail
I checked my rearview mirror
And the heat was on my tail

The cop said, "Oh for goodness sake
Your driver's license is a fake
There ain't a man alive
That sucks a binky who can drive!

(CHORUS)

Well it's hard to do your homework
In the Franklin county jail
But a calc test in the morning
Meant - study here or fail

I had to trade my binky
For a tutor from the South
And now a hardened mathematician
Has my binky in his mouth

(CHORUS x 2)

  1. By popular demand... This was our song for Cato's "Bye Bye Binky" party in January. The Chorus goes like Dayenu (ending in 3 staccato syllable's, like BYE!BYE!BYE!); the verses sound something like the Drunken Scotsman song. It was fun to get the kids singing the chorus on cue - "when the binky disappears beneath this cup..."

  2. Very cool, though I don't know the tune. I can relate to the Drunke Scotsman reference, however...not that I've ever been one, a Scotsman that is.
